A 6-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being bitten by a dog in Brunnsparken. The owner disappeared with the dog afterwards. The attack is on the film.

It happened just before four o'clock on Monday afternoon.

Police press officer Theresa Lagnefors says that the boy was attacked from behind and pulled down on the ground.


The dog, a Rottweiler, tore violently in boy's clothes and bit him.


More people intervened and tried to get the dog to release its grip.

GP is aware of a video documenting the events. There are very strong images of the terrified little boy in the middle of the tumult of arms and legs and the dog instinctively refused to release its iron grip.


Many tore and pulled the dog and the boy to get them apart. When they finally successfully led the dog reluctantly away by its supposed owner, a man in his 30s, who disappeared without stopping and see how it is with the boy and tell who he was.

The boy was taken by ambulance to the Queen Silvia Children's Hospital. In the evening, he was released from the hospital after doctors determined that he was okayl, received minor injuries.


One of the present witnesses described how the boy's clothes were torn apart and he had to bite the butt of the aggressive dog. It can also be seen on the film.

- The boy must have been completely in shock, said the witness.

The boy should have been in the company of his grandmother and another child, a three year old, at the assault, according to the witness.

The man who filmed the attack says he tried to contact the police several times.

"But I have no answer if they want my witness statements or movie. They've got my number., I left it to 114 14th but they have not returned to me," he writes in a mail to GP.

Police press officer Theresa Lagnefors says at 20:30 o'clock on Monday evening:

- We'd like to take part in the film.

The dog owner is now wanted by police. The alleged offense is classified as bodily harm.
