Megyn Kelly at the Commander in Chief's Ball With the Troops

Megyn Kelly was at the CinC Inaugural Ball, and Megyn told us that quietly, several members of the military have relayed to her that they secretly hoped Obama would leave the "don't ask, don't tell" policy alone. They really don't want that to change.

Then one troop told Megyn his only regret for the evening was that George Walker Bush was not there, because he wanted to tell him 'thank you,' that he appreciated everything he did for the troops. I think President Bush already knows this, and he did say it was the biggest thing he was going to miss - being the Commander in Chief of the finest military in the world.

I'm sick of having limited thesaurical references for "happy!" And thesaurical is not a word, see how my vocab is all out of wack?

  • It's interesting how people who've never served and don't understand the extremely close quarters troops endure for long periods of time think this change is no big deal.

  • I love it!

Fox News tried to tow the Bush line for so long, and still say they are "unbiased". With all the scare tactics they used to prop up Bush and the "war on terror", its just amazing!

Amazing to see them now fall back on some trivial matter like "gays in the military". OH! GOD FORBID!

Ummmmm wait, Fox? What about the other $hitstains Bush left us with that you have terroized us for so long? Remember? All the reasons we needed Bush, and needed to More..

    • So the first thing soldiers are trained to think about when they are pinned down is whether to screw their squadmate? I didn't know the Army changed their slogan to "Make Love Not War".

    • The funny thing is, our armed forces was pretty much founded and trained by a gay man.

    • Bush already did that with warantless wiretaps, allowing the putting of government protesters and opponents of the death penalty on "terror watch lists", giving FEMA permission to put government dissidents in concentration camps should another terror attack happen, Patriot Acts 1 and the draft of Patriot Act 2 still waiting to be implemented (go ahead and read what it does to your rights, i dare you)

      F George Bush!
