This is the hell that civilians are forced to live through by the so-called "Free Syrian Army" allied to several Al-Qaeda groups. Armed factions have not only driven out residents from some parts of Homs, but conduct ruthless massacres of civilians in their homes, sometimes burning them alive. This was filmed in Deir Balabah in Homs. The report says that this was conducted by the terrorists, and clearly does not shy away from reporting these evil massacres.

Many civilians who express support for the regime, and who express concerns about terrorism, end up like this in these areas. They try to impose harsh understandings that are far from dialogue, using ruthless techniques that also include suicide bombings and IEDs in residential areas which invariably kill numerous civilians. It would appear that their tactic is to cause maximum carnage, and blame it on the government in the misguided hope of attracting a Libyan style intervention, because the guerillas themselves cannot defeat the Syrian army, especially while most of the Syrians still support the government against the terrorists.
