Japan, 4 April 2012 – Driver has a seizure (epilepsy?) and crashes into pole. He was injured with pulmonary contusion, hemorrhage and four broken ribs, one of which pierced his lung. Get well soon...

You are so wrong. Big cars have more mass weight. The impact therefore is much more brutal. This proofed to be a very safe small car. Twenty years ago such an impact on a pole would have been fatal in any car.
Big Amaricain cars seldom have the 5 stars safety certificate, most modern small cars do.

Wow, impressive, thanks! How did you do that? There was no GPS-location coordinates on the dash cam display? So the location was 〒640-8425 Wakayama-ken, Wakayama-shi, Matsuekita, 県道7号線.

I found a signboards at crash site, "八えいと", a Japanese-style bar maybe, then searched the word with google.
I found someone's blog, so i can guess the area and the road... Then I pursue the road, I found the pole.
I do not know whether he is dead or alive, but the pole is destructed maybe. so i said rip for the pitiful pole.

It's kind of sad how often this happens.

Driver also lucky that the car was right hand drive - Without any braking the impact was huge and his body would not have reacted the same as if he was conscious - dead weight!
