Arrest of top criminal Dino Soerel in Amsterdam

absentia to eight years in jail for drugs smuggling last year, is a
known associate of crime boss Willem Holleeder, currently in jail for
blackmail. Soerel's name has also come up several times in a major
ongoing investigation into gangland killings known as the Passage case.
The trial of 10 men and one woman charged with at least seven murders
started in the high-security court in Amsterdam in 2009.
