  • I converted a Silverado to run on LPG, kept then tank under the bed, if you think about it a gas tank is just molded plastic that can rupture, an LPG tank is 3/8 inch thick steel (or more) to stand the pressure so it can take a hit, just have to be careful on protecting the valves. I changed the oil every 10,000 miles and it came out as clean as it was when I put it in.   • They did this in ww2 so nothing new here.Might be something you should think about converting to before gas hits 10 dollars a gal in the U.S.

    • You would ordinarily think so :-) In Asia LPG conversion for underbones and scooters is becoming quite commonplace - these are motorcycles typically between 80 and 100 cc. Very safe given the non-existent rider training and frequency of accidents, so safe that the only accidents I've heard about involve dilapidated Taxis, not motorcycles.

  • you can install a bleeder valve incase anything was to happen and it will relieve pressure and hopefully it wont blow up in your face.

  • What would the "miles per tank" be between gasoline and compressed gas?
    For example, you got 90 miles out of a tank of gasoline, how many miles on one tank of compressed gas?
