The final few hours of a small group of women who have been convicted of drug smuggling and sentenced to death by firing squad, are captured by an officially sanctioned photographer.



The women were given a meal of their choice and executed at 10am, the youngest He Xiuling, seen crying as she approaches the execution spot was 25.



Twenty four prisoners were shot in total, all for drug related offences.
