India's Dark Past (Pics Inside)

In 1984, the Indian Government attacked Sikhism's holiest shrine on one of the holiest days of the Sikh calendar. They said it was to flush out Sikh separatists at the temple, though it doesn't explain why 40 other shrines were attacked on the same day. Many civilians died.
