There have been 100 shootings in New South Wales this year — with the overwhelming majority taking place in Western Sydney.
The suburb of Auburn has had the most shootings, with a total of eight since January.
Last night a 30-year-old man took himself to Auburn hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. He is refusing to cooperate with police.
Just ten days ago a 15-year-old boy turned up at the same hospital with gunshot wounds.
And on August 30, two men died after being shot in South Wentworthville, also in Western Sydney.
Merrylands is the second-worst suburb for gun crime in Sydney, with seven shootings since the beginning of the year. Greenacre and Guildford have had four, while Punchbowl and Bankstown have each had three.
NSW State Opposition Leader John Robertson said the Premier was ignoring the problem of gun crime in the area.
"Last night we saw the 100th shooting this year and we are continuing to see gun crime spiral out of control on the streets of western and south-western Sydney," Mr Robertson said today.

I couldn't see a date on the reference but registered firearm includes everything from air rifles, starters pistols and muzzle loaders up to centre-fire semi auto and high capacity weapons. Not so much a gun problem as it is an immigration problem I'll bet. Here in the US we don't have a gun problem per say. We have more of a 'black' problem. If you take away 'black' you'd have much better success in alleviating crime than you would by removing guns.

All those suburbs mentioned in that list are heavily infested with filth. All the usual crowd. One of my friends lives next door to one of them who was in the news where he went berserk and started shooting up the houses around him.
