As Obama's Approval Rate Plummets, Bush's Popularity Is On The Rise

It seems that the longer the Obama administration stays in power, the more nostalgia that is felt for former President George W. Bush.

A new study by Public Policy Polling on April 9-11, 2010, shows that more people would elect George W. Bush if he were battling Barack Obama for President now.

When asked, “Would you rather have Barack Obama or George W. Bush as President right now?,” 48% said Obama and 46% said Bush. 6% were ‘not sure.’

In the same poll, 46% of respondents said the approve of the job Barack Obama was doing and 48% said they did not.

Considering just how popular George W. Bush was when he stepped down as leader of the free world, only a few laters some voters are dreaming of when ‘Dubya’ ran the country.

“George W. Bush’s approval ratings were horrid his final few years in office because even a decent number of Republicans and conservative leaning independents were unhappy with him,” said , President of Public Policy Polling, Dean Debnam, said. “Now those folks wish they could have him back over Obama.”
