I know we have some bad-ass Marines here in the U.S., but I think more credit should be given to the British Marines, they are pretty bad-ass too. I know these wars in the middle east are even less popular over there, than here, so to all the men and women fighting with our troops...thank you! @spickey24 I am curious; if a soldier suddenly feels unwilling to fight in a war, is there any way for the soldier in either the USA's armed forces or the UK's armed forces to leave in a way that doesn't negatively impact their future?
I can imagine the others who may remain fighting for the US and the UK in the battlefields would be annoyed or upset that they would have to "pick up the slack" or even that someone chose to "abandon" them so to speak. However, I still wonder, More..

@justaperson I really don't know now but several years ago there was no honorable way out, without serious ramifications. But I think you have to understand our military is 100 % volunteer and the men and women who join are very aware of what they are or are possibly getting into. It is not uncommon for a soldier not to agree with a war or conflict, but I think they all believe in the freedoms and basic human rights we enjoy here, and will fight for people who want these freedoms but can't.
