My cat will fook up some possums, squirrels, rabbits and moles but she won't mess with raccoons. Strangely, raccoons are the only local wild animals I'll try to pet.

@Salt You can't keep them as pets, because they are too wild. A biologist, who nursed raccoon cubs in her home, said in TV it is impossible to keep them in your home when they grow up. They have sharp teeth and claws like needles. Grown up raccoons destroy everything in your home and defend their freedom with all means. You can be friends with them, but you never will be their owner. :)

@cremation She showed one of her grown up raccoons, and it hissed, scatched and tried to bite. They have their own free will and can't be subdued. The best is to leave them alone in your garden and try to be friends with them. If you want to have them around you in your house you need good nerves! :)
