That sure is an unusual looking military base.

You could have a good point.
Several of our "wars" seem to have had the same feel. We went into Iraq to "free them" but we gave our soldiers playing cards with all of the people we wanted dead or alive.
Afghanistan we are working with tribal warlords to kill taliban.
Libya we killed as many military personnel and top leaders to usher in a new dictator.
We, more than likely, have had our fingers in every Arab spring battle.
