these men make me proud to wear the poppy. it's hard to forget that most of these men lost their lives in and around poppys. a horrible coinsidence.

And yes there were pilots from the USA helping us out before the Americans eventually joined the war. They formed 3 Eagle Squadrons just after the Battle of Britain. My girlfriend's grandfather was one of them - she's from San Diego.
