Russia warns of pre-emptive strike on AMD if NATO goes ahead

Russia warns it could make a pre-emptive strike against NATO's
anti-missile defense shield planned for Europe - if the US persists in
going ahead, ignoring the Kremlin's opposition. Moscow says the system
threatens its national security - and is detailing its concerns at an
international conference in the Russian capital - with representatives
from over 50 nations. RT's Anissa Naouai has more.

  • Why do they get all worked up over this? It's only good for a small number of missiles. If it was going to be used to defend from a Russian attack wouldn't NATO place them all over Europe? I'm pretty sure the odds of the West outright attacking Russia are zero.

Today US build one shield, tommorow they will build another one. People and nations who hosts any technology aimed against Russia must know that they will be crushed first. We dont need any nato misssile technology.

    • @grifo A defensive missile shield is not aimed at anyone. NK has nukes, china, pakistan india not just Russia. Because they choose to build a defensive shield means they are looking more at peace then war.. if they were looking to be aggressive, they would build nukes and go with the MAD option. Since that is a much cheaper way to go. The revolutions around your borders? Hell to revolutions are closer to NATO countries then yours.       Such shield have no use. We can intercept missiles from all these countries with current hardware. And we dont threatening West. Its West, who is always holding war against us at all fronts (media, strange revolts in our region, military expansion). Its how we see it here. Obviously West is more aggressive towards us than we towards West.
