A waiting Chernobyl in Vermont?
More info: http://starkravingviking.blogspot.com/2010/12/vermont-yankee-nuclear-plant-problems.html
Should life in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and the outback above New York City be held hostage by a looming nuclear disater? Should leaks at a nuclear plant be patched with duct tape? Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant might just be a ticking time bomb.
Is the US Government so run by corporations, energy interests, and the Military Industrial Complex that another BP Gulf Oil Spill size disaster is imminent on the nuclear front?

i've worked at nuclear plants, and their duct tape is well above the average duct tape. 100 mph tape.

Your right it's dam good stuff. I also worked in a nuke plant, on the potentiality contaminated side, my job was F.M.E rover. Tied in with N.P.S.A. Very cool being able to have access to the whole plant. And by the way people, nuke plant duct tape is not silver,it's red, that way if a piece falls in to the spent fuel pool the cameras will be able to see it. I'm sure plants differ in polices.

more than 30 years of over regulation and scare tactics will kill any industry, just look what it is doing to the airlines.

Military Industrial Complex? Like a group of businesses, government services, commerce, and people? Wrong word, it's called a country.

Yeah, America's aging infrastructure problem is fucking colossal all round. Just look at Detroit or Chicago.
Scary, really.

Duct tape will fix anything including nuclear waste leaks. What's with the conspiracy theory garbage?

Um, the pictures they showed there were of systems which have no physical contact with the nuclear side of a nuke power plant. Nuke power plants have two sides, one is called closed and one open. The open side is what they were showing in the pictures. Cooling towers have nothing more than water and some industrial chemicals for preventing corrosion and calcium buildup. The big collapse seen in the picture could have been caused by anything, none of which would be hazardous to a community

It is not even duct tape. It is an axpansion collar. You can see the clamps upper and lower.
What a crock of shit this video is. I live not far from the plant and even knew an operator there. It has been in operation for decades and can serve many more.

We need a monument to all the people killed at Three Mile Island. Oh, yeah, no one was even injured at Three Mile Island. Never mind!
