Clearly every religion but Islam has been flexible, and has advanced with the times. There was a time when religion was useful. It was the moral and philosophical foundations for the societies that we live in now (just because the JudeoChristian ethic is a fantasy theology, doesn't mean the lessons are without wisdom). Eastern religions steered civilization for people in the East. Just as Islam did in the middle-east.

God didn't establish marriage, MEN did, the men of religion and power, as a societal control mechanism.
LMFAO, I love these kinds of people. I remember a few years ago, the ONLY thing that brought Christians, Jews and Muslims together, and I mean tightly together, was their absolute indignation at a gay pride parade in Jerusalem. The photo of these guys all together, the leaders of those disparate communities, with their simply FABULOUS hats was out of this world.
