TAMPA - A 28-year-old man is accused of posing as a 16-year-old and having sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl.
Felipe Toledo, of 320 Althea Ave., was arrested Wednesday on two counts of lewd and lascivious battery and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Tampa police said.
Toledo told the girl's family that his mother had died and he needed a place to stay, police said. The family allowed him to stay there for the past two weeks.
Toledo ran away with the girl, police said. They were found inside an apartment after police got a tip about a suspicious vehicle at The Arbors at Carrollwood.
Toledo is serving probation on aggravated assault and battery charges out of Suwannee County, according to the Florida Department of Corrections website.
He is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail and also faces violation of probation charges.
