1st Amendment advocates flex their muscles nationwide. The gay marriage crowd took aim at Chick-fil-a for comments made by the company's COO Dan Cathy in support of traditional marriage. A boycott was organized by the Trevor Project, a national organization focused on suicide prevention efforts for LGBT youth.
Things probably would have ended there but for the reaction from the mayors of Chicago and Boston, who moved to block Chick-fil a from opening any new locations in their cities as retribution.
Crowds waited hours to lend their support at nearly every location nationwide.
Traffic backed up for over a half mile.
The malls were even more crowded.
Will the "Kiss-In" scheduled for Friday August 3rd by the LGBTers draw these kinds of crowds?
