Christine O'Donnell: "Where In The Constitution Is The Separation Of Church And State?"

Christine O'Donnell managed to get the crowd laughing at a Delaware Senate debate. Not because she made a joke, but because they were shocked by her ignorance.

After debating how evolution should be taught in the schools, candidate Chris Coons states the importance of separation of church and state. At the 2:50 mark, O'Donnell acts genuinely surprised to hear this, asking "Where in the Constitution is the separation of church and state?" as if she had never heard the phrase before. The audience erupts in laughter.

Later, around the 7:05 mark, she again asks the question. This times Coons quotes the exact part for her. Sounding bewildered, O'Donnell mutters "that's in the First Amendment?" There's more laughter, but it's more subdued, as the crowd appears to be pitying what a fool O'Donnell has made out of herself.
