I do not know if this is a re-post, but this small Kurdish guy has really some balls.
'Hey, since i noticed a lot of the LL'ers dont know what is going on here. The Kurds are the largest etnic miniority in the world, without their own country. The Kurds live for over a thousand years, on the grounds they call Kurdistan. Nowadays, the area they have been living in is seperated into four countries: Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran. The Kurds consider themself as a population and therefor demands the same rights as the other population. The Turkish government is afraid to give the Kurds social and cultural rights, because this might seperated 'their' country. Therefor the Kurdish language was for example forbidden till 1991. The Kurds do not have the possibility also to get education in their mother language. The Kurds are revolting because they lost their ascendency on 'their homelands'. Therefor they do riot a lot and this is a video a found. As u can see even childeren do riot, however i do not support this. But going to a Turkish school, where they do not get education in their mother language is also not acceptable for me. I do not support violence.

The Kurds are nowadays not fighting for an independent Kurdistan, but for autonomy. Still, the Turks are afraid that this will seperate 'their' country and keep 'supressing' the Kurds.
