@Aussie Errr dude you are WAY off course! The thread and video you linked are in no way related to this one. The guy crashed his car it was not a checkpoint. It took emergencry services a few minutes to arrive. There was fireworks going off because there was a carnival or parade happening.
I read the original thread by the maker of the film. I am fairly certain it was not a hoax or a training simulation.

@Aussie If you are digging for info maybe you are up for looking into the whole ATF/ATS thing he mentions, and the DIAL 2 thing. I remember some other readers on ATS (quite an interesting site really) managed to link it to some kind of medical research facility that DOES exist. Also the Special Agent Thomas Polk/Valk/Falk?? turned up a few bits of info too.
