This was recorded 19th July 2007 in Yakutsk, in Russia's far east. People camped out overnight to be first in line for some of the following promotions at the opening of the new 'Eldorado' store: electric teapots 89 RUB (3.60USD), cam phones 2999 RUB (121 USD), 106cm plasma TV's 27999 RUB (1132 USD), vaccuum cleaners 299 RUB (12 USD), etc, etc.
One person apparently died, and scores required medical attention.
The promotion had to be extended for 4 days due to the shopping hysteria the store's opening caused.
