Apparently Syrian tanks mount different machine guns on the turret, not the usual Russian 12.7 mm but some double barreled (GAST?) or twin machine gun.
Does anbody have more info on this?

It's hard to pinpoint which is actually worse : The horribly unskilled, poorly trained SAA - or their garbage, tinderbox, Soviet armor.
