After a Girl Scout troop was robbed by a masked punk at a local Fred Meyer, Governor Palin, stepped in to help raise the money back. In addition to the money raised by Gov. Palin and the girls, store manager Jaime San Miguel offered to repay the $800 stolen and match the total sales for the day on behalf of Fred Meyer.

"This has taught a great lesson: Some things that some people think will turn out bad -- something like this really turned out just fine because good people stepped in to try to pick up the slack; and girls, thank you so much for handling the whole situation so well. --and to you moms-- Thank you.
