The Feds should have taken over the operation a long time ago. BP has made it abundantly clear that they have no idea what they are doing. Let the Feds head the cleanup and give the overinflated bill to BP.
But to be completely honest, I am disgusted by both BP and the US governments response to this catastrophe. BP should have ponied up the $400,000 for a blow out valve, and the feds should have had a contingency plan in place before this happened.
