What was the ammo used?
Mythbusters claim it is impossible to shoot a bullet through a rifle scope, unless it is amour piercing.

@mutterfudder And mythbusters is the end all be all of information and reality....also they were using a garand instead of the sniper rifle hathcock used, and an amateur shooter, not a professional. Their "test" was riddled with errors.

Not to take anything away from Carlos, he was a world class marksman and sniper, but he was also a bit of a bullshitter. A real sniper scope will stop a 30.06 round.
