Fake. Humans have not enough strenght in their arms to power a flight. Only in the legs is enough power to make some flights. And these "wings" dont even look like that it can provide some good gliding ratio.

Totally fake - this is from an aeronautical engineer interested in human powered flight.
Human powered flight takes all the strength of two legs and generally staying in ground effect.
Here with his two arms he gains altitude like a puff of smoke, come on guys!
Now this is a pretty elaborate prank with website and all. I just saw the video on MSNBC, all kinds of media around the world are getting caught.

@BlownHead he is using wii controllers in his hands, thats why his arms flap, his flapping arms are not physically moving the wings, only using the accelerometers in the wii controllers.

@rhyno024 OK my mistake but I still call it fake. Four 5000mAh batteries as mentionned on his web site, that is good for RC models.
Also the video at 0:35 is a total givaway, the body is going up and down in balance with the wing as if the wing weight was as heavy as the body.
