This actually makes things REALLY interesting for this war, because Turkey evidently went into their airspace on purpose. And according to International law, they (Syria) were completely in the right to shoot down the jet. But I'm no politician, BUT then again... this does seem extremely typical / fishy of a Western supporting nation to give itself a reason to enter the combat zone - and am I not mistaken that they now have the West's and Israel's support? I guess we'll see if these are actually More..

@Womancraft Well the normal thing to do when a foreign fighter jet enters another country's airspace is to scramble jets and tell it to leave, not destroy the damn thing. Russian MIGs enters Norwegian airspace from time to time but we dont shoot em down -_-

Also, I don't think shooting down Russian MIGs would be the best idea, hahah ;)

@deathspasm thanks for the rational comment. they entered our airspace 5 times this year. Did you hear any syrian aircraft shot down. Our plane accidently entered the air space and when radar operator warned him, the pilot corrected his waypoint but syrians just shot down the plane. Search google for the last communication transcript between the radar operator and the pilot.

The tanks are most likely upgraded M-60s. There may be some video footage of American armor going up against Russian armor in the near future if Turkey jumps in to the Syrian civil war.
