Parents Claim School Bus Driver Abused Riders

NBC -- Parents in Port Jervis, New York are calling for the firing of an abusive bus driver.

Recently released security tape from the driver's bus shows her purposefully slamming on the vehicle's brakes in an effort to throw children from their seats, as well as screaming racial epithets at the children.

Unfortunately, efforts to discipline driver Deborah Ballard have been met with resistance from the school board according to Ballard's direct supervisor.

Assistant Director of Transportation Wendi Kinne says she's compiled a stack of evidence against Ballard, along with numerous complaints from parents and other drivers, but for some reason school administrators have refused to take any action.

"It needs to be stopped. It should have been stopped a long time ago," Kinne said.

Ballard and school officials have refused to comment on the matter.
