  • Spot on. It's not often I say that about something reported on MSNBC, but this was the biggest misstatement of the debate. Just the previous day, the State Department had gone before Congress to declare that the embassy had requested more security and that the request had been denied. This came after weeks of the Obama administration refusing to admit that the attack had even been a terrorist attack, refusing to acknowledge that we received intelligence about and impending attack, and rejecti More..

  • If the tea party/Republican Party would have let US spend more money on protecting our embassy's around the world, this might never have happened. The idiot party, I like to call it, voted no to fully fund the world wide security of our embassy's and now you want to use it to score political points!!! This is no surprise to me though, because its not the first time, I have seen republicans use a terrorist attack to facilitate there political agendas. You people are about as low as you can go, b More..

  • I think he was laughing about the fact that, there was no substance coming out of Ryan's mouth. Ryan was simply reciting the robotic, repetitive, zinger bs lines that has been programmed into his brain. What I'll remember about this debate is, Joe Biden knows what he is talking about and Paul Ryan, can recite all the zingers that he memorized during his debate prepping.

Biden at that moment was not laughing about anything from Ryan. Ryan repeated essentially what the State Department testified before Congress, which is that the embassy requested security and was denied. Biden then retorted that the embassy never requested any security.

It was an out-and-out lie. No spinning this any other way.

We can agree on one thing. Biden knows what he is talking about. So why did he choose to lie so blatantly about Libya?
