  • Doesn't change anything. In fact to the contrary I think this (badly) digitally colored footage of world war 1 only serves to distance us from the actual events. Just like a drawing can highten the meaning of a particular event by emphasizing its main features (unlike a photography with it's cold mechanized portrayal of mass data in the form of chemical pixels), false-color footage only serves to deemphasize the monstruosity and horror of the world's first mass industrial conflict.
