Attari (Amritsar), Mar 4 A Pakistani intruder was shot dead and heroin worth Rs 40 crore in the international market was seized during an exchange of fire between BSF and some smugglers from the neighbouring country in the Indo-Pak border close to Attari, BSF sources said here today.
Yesterday at around midnight, BSF troops patrolling the Indo-Pak border noticed three men carrying guns sneaking into the Indian territory. When the security personnel asked them to surrender, they started indiscriminate firing on them.

In the retaliatory fire, one intruder was shot dead, while the two others managed to flee to the neighbouring country, the sources said.
