Safe Mode: On
A (Random) Day in the Life

against the backdrop of the BBC early Light Programme Radio presenter anouncing the morning news topics we have the exciting footage of people going to work on the 1938 LT Tube Stock seen at Loughton, this is a sight to behold - for those of a particular persuasion. The rest of the film is taken up with ordinary people doing ordinary things - fantastic! Breath taking views of London and it's unique omnibus service are also included. We have Derek to thank for this gem of social history!

Another Classic London Transport Film from the most exciting decade ever, the 60's.

warning; for those who don't like ordinary things best move swiftly along, you will not like this at all, sorry. (NCCBEI)

    • Right. Child molesting was not an issue, but daily life. Same for racism, harressing women, polluting the environment, selling unsafe medication.

Still, the society was maybe a little more balanced, not that many have everything and that much much more have nothing.

    • Did you not notice Nelsons column. The only thing clean in London in those days were peoples dentures.

    • 'sharp-intake-of-breath'! you wouldn't last too long on the London Underground. the right hand side is for those who wish to stand and think, relax, dawdle, or just to look at the wimmins legs tits and bums, the left hand side is for those on a mission for the millions of things on offer in this life and woe betide anyone who impedes the flow - accidents are very rare, I've never seen one in twenty years! Speed is the name of the game on the tube - great stuff!

    • Had you not been on an escalator I would have advised you to "hold your ground man"! It's hard to be intractable when one is moving. LOL

  • Wish we could hire those Tube engineers to work on the DC Metro, 2 yrs ago Metro managed to kill 9 people
and one constant- it throws us off escalators!

  • 4:45. A gay tune for old age pensioners ?
Would that be Boy George singing "We`ll meet again" ?
