If You Don’t Like Election Winner, JetBlue Will Fly You Out Of The Country For Free
At the end of every election season, people all over make empty
threats to flee the country, and one could make this a reality thanks to
airliner JetBlue, which is offering to fly those dissatisfied with the
victor to an exotic location at no charge. In that case, everyone wins
right?
“If your candidate doesn’t win, don’t worry. Election protection
could be your ticket out of the country,” the company states on its site
for the JetBlue Election Protection sweepstakes.
For a chance to get the prize, applicants have to participate in a
poll and select the party they support in addition to a place they’d
like to visit. If their contender loses, they may will be placed in a
contest to win one of 1,000 trips to a tropical destination, which
includes the Bahamas, St. Maarten, Grand Cayman, and more. Only U.S.
citizens and folks over 18 are allowed to enter. JetBlue workers cannot
participate, and winners will be selected at random:
Administrator will randomly select the potential
Sweepstakes winners from all eligible entries received during the
Promotion Period, on or around November 7, 2012. The potential winners
will be notified by email. If a potential winner of any prize cannot be
contacted, or prize is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner
forfeits his/her prize.
Sounds like a pretty sweet deal for the 1,000 chosen. JetBlue’s
senior vice president of marketing and commercial strategy, Marty St.
George said of the offering:
“Fun is one of our five founding values, and in this
spirit we decided to give people a chance to recover from the political
noise and follow through on their claim to skip town if their candidate
comes up short.
