I have to say they both make good points. Michael Moore is actually making valid points and Friedman is too. Fords $200,000 per individual burned alive calculus was disgusting and rightly infamous. The slippery slope arguments do apply though and Friedman is right to ask where do you draw the line.
This trouncing of Moore drove him to binge eating with the tragic results we see today.

Michael Moore had the opportunity of a life time to ask one of the greatest economists to have walked the face of the earth......a simple question. And what did he do? In his slovenly, whiney approach.....he f'd up a perfectly good question (actuarial liability vs. economics) by attempting to put a "those greedy corporate bastards" spin on a good question.
What a waste of Milton's time.......definitely a gentlemen for dealing with a stain such as Moore.
