Helicopter lift at the Golden Gate bridge
a Sikorsky S-58T helicopter lifts a microwave repeater system from the top of the south tower of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco.
"In September, after a couple of weather and technical delays, ARIS Helicopters accomplished a high-profile lift and placement job on the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. With pilot Sam Nowden flying a Sikorsky S-58T twin-Turbine helicopter, the job consisted of removing and replacing a twin parabolic microwave repeater disc assembly on the south tower of the bridge".

@Rothschad Um that is the exact reason why I replied to your nast ass comments on that post. But only after you made a fool of yourself.
But you still feel that you must screw with someone else.

Not for me, thanks. In the bad old days they walked around without safety lines.

@mlivsey
You know, I have extreme vertigo but I can still fly without any problems. You look at the horizon, not below. And don't put a box of kittens on the landing pad because they're going to get squashed.

@Rothschad Dont know much about helicopters when you claim to be a pilot of one in your comments.

@Rothschad No I dont, buit I dont claim to be a pilot by innuendo, and I didnt name a specific aircraft that was wrong. Google is a powerful thing. The only reason why I know helicopters, is that I flew IN them for many years. But Im not a pilot, and dot claim to be one.
I see that Im not the only person who thinks you are borderline beginnings of a Troll.
Just chill out on people, especially after you make yourself look foolish.
I see others members see you the same way.

The American way of doing things.
Here in blighty we would have dismantled it and manhandled it up and down. Its cheaper and we know that, if we had used a helicopter, the holes would be in the wrong place.

@fr33thinker Well we can at least figure out hole placement. Plus I doubt your bridges are as high as the Golden Gate towers with the winds that come off the coast. To manhandle it down would take all day long and wasted tons of money. This is the fastest and most economical way. Where those men are standing is 227m, or 750ft, above the water and there is traffic below meaning they cannot go down, only up.
