Smarmy douchebag,Bill Kristol on Fox News Sunday predicts that the bulk of the health care bill will be repealed by 2013.
Of course, the “Kristol ball” doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to making predictions. The fact that Bill Kristol's predictions have about a 20% accuracy rating should be seen as an encouraging sign for the future of this law, if anything.
Plus, as Igor Volsky has pointed out, once the bill is enacted, repeal will not look like a favorable option. “The short term benefit of motivating your base by condemning a drawn out and somewhat dirty process may be substantial, but repealing policies that give billions of dollars in federal funds to the states and protect individuals from some fairly egregious insurer practices makes little sense,” he wrote.
I don't think the Republicans will have any luck repealing it. Fixing it with some price controls is another matter but as I've said before you can bet anything the Republicans try to do to "fix" the bill will only make it worse. Since Kristol isn't exactly known for telling the truth I doubt he actually believes this either.
Like most things coming from the right these days, Kristol's predictions are meant to impart an air of cocky optimism based upon an imaginary "groundswell" of Americans who are fed up with Obama's "socialist, marxist, fascist, nazi dictator" agenda. And also like most things coming from the right these days, it has no basis in reality.

Jon Stewart Gets Testy With Chris Wallace, Calling Fox Viewers the Most "Misinformed"

According to some interviews I heard today by Health care people, and financial experts, the signing of this bill has just put America into the red so far our credit rating as a country is down almost half today, nobody knows how this will be paid for, and the numbers they have been quoting are all wrong, just like the information Bush gave us on Iraq and WMD's. The medical costs look to be between 2.5 times and 25 times too low as to cost analysis.
Pray for a repeal sooner than 2013, hopefully More..

It's paid for by borrowing money from the Red Chinese. How goddam sick and pathetic can we get. My God we have entered the darkest and most depressing depths under this idiot President. We now pay China $103 million dollars A DAY. That's right, per DAY. And this is today's dollars, not including the proposed second "stimulus" and healthcare.
Your kids will be paying income tax levels unfathomable by us by the time they are 20 years old.
Stand up and cheer, libs. Stand up an More..

George Bush began borrowing from the Chinese long ago to pay for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan..... and you're just starting to puke now?
Hypocrisy abounds.

Nice Obama sheep you are, attack anyone and everyone who dare disputes Dear Leader's facts and figures. Follow the magic negro right off that cliff, loser.
Why don't you stroll into your favorite restaurant for a bite to eat before its blown off the map by employer mandated penalties of $2,000 PER EMPLOYEE. YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT. $2,000 PER EMPLOYEE.
What an historic day yesterday was. The beginning of the end of the American business dreamers. What a tragedy.

This bill will be impossible to repeal because it will require the signature of the president, i dont see that happening. The only way we can stop this is simply by not paying for it, fuck the IRS, if we can get the American populace to withhold taxes until the end of the year then agree to only pay the federal portions that exclude healthcare then we the people can effectively bankrupt the system, it is sure not perfect but the only way our gov will listen is by bold actions.

This is the way to job the model behind this law.
Don't buy insurance. Pay for incidental medical out of pocket, and pay the fine. This will still be cheaper than paying the premiums.
Then when you need insurance because of surgery, extended hospital stay, prolonged expensive medication, etc... then get insurance.
Because there is no lonnger a pre-existing condition clause, you cannot be denied. This practice will force the insurance companies to cover increasing costs while sufferin More..

Great idea...would that work with car insurance too. ..that's been mandated for decades and don't get me started about mortgage companies and their damn mandated fire insurance. Can you get fire insurance after your house burns down.

Lots of screed for nothing that discredits the premise. One of the cornerstones of the bill is no pre-existing clauses. You cannot be denied insurance, even if you are high risk.
And there is no higher risk than already having a condition that will require expensive care.
It won't take people long to figure out how to job this government run fuck up.

The people you speak of now have access to 'high-risk pool' insurance. Already accounted for.

I work for a small business, based on the mandated taxes that an employer must pay the government for employees who can only afford to puchase the government plan, my company will be paying roughly 20,000 dollars per year when healthcare takes effect. This law will put the company I work for and countless others in bankruptcy. Can we afford this we the unemployment rate is at 10.5 percent?

Yep, your company and my company and every single free standing business in the United States just got served either a death sentence or a giant dose of business annihilation. What you Dems are cheering about is beyond my comprehension.
Go support your local business owner because he just got boat raced yesterday.

What's Walmarts excuse? They employee more than any company and now instead of shifting the full amount unto the government, atleast they will pay as well. Is that not a good thing?

BS. Neocons love and support the WELFARE state, which is what we've become after the signing of this bill. They are just doing their part of the game by spinning their wheels criticizing the Libs. It's what they do. The health care bill is nothing more than a cost saving, social engineering project designed to control the people, tax the people, and fool the people into believing they matter as opposed to an afterthought, which is closer to the truth.

Don't get all caught up in the Dems vs. Republicans blame game! Both parties benefit from the blank checks they get from the Fed, Obama just happens to be breaking deficit records to fund his massive welfare state.

Hell, why would they want to repeal a republican bill, because that's just what it is. A colossal giveaway to the insurance and pharmaceutical industries, written by lobbyists for those same industries. The only reason for the nutball opposition was to try to humiliate Obama. I agree with the sentiment expressed about Kristol's predictions, his success rate is abysmal. Why would anyone continue to listen to him?
