Romney: Why Don't Airplane Windows Roll Down?
"Making post-fundraiser comments this weekend, presidential candidate Mitt Romney revealed a tenuous grip on the science of aviation, despite the fact that he and his wife, Ann, have been flying around the country this summer on the campaign trail.
After his wife's plane was forced to make an emergency landing this weekend, Romney told the Los Angeles Times, he was worried for her safety. You used to be able to open windows on a plane (a long time ago); it was an emergency thing, lifted a handle to open it. People today, however, do not have the self-restraint from doing something stupid in-flight, and depressurizing the cabin.

@NightCrawler at a time when planes might have had these handles you speak of, planes didn't even fly high enough to need to be pressurized we're talking like 1930's, planes flying below the weather.
nowadays every plane still has a few windows that you can unlatch and pop open in an emergency exit, but it will only work when the cabin is unpressurized.

Romney has either given up trying completely, or is obviously a plant for the Obama campaign.
He even stated that Obama didn't raise taxes in the 4 years he was president as Paul Ryan watched on with a "Holy shit... I quit. This guy really is that stupid." look on his face.

even though i think mitty's lack of sarcasm and personality i even got the joke and the context....he was saying that at a fundraiser in front of hundreds of people...
