  • visited the Tower years ago and the Beefeaters are great. One of them told us that Errol Flynn was in a movie showing him lifting the Tower gate, which is impossible, it weighs 5,000 lbs. There has to be a certain amount of ravens as deemed by one of the kings for a poet who wrote bad poetry to annoy him

  • 22 years in the Army and only made Warrant Officer grade 1 or 2 (GSM OR RSM) he's a SLACKER!!!

    Should make a rank every 2 to 3 years L/cpl, Cpl, Sgt, Staff Sgt, WO2, WO1. These are called junior ranks. then after WO1 prmotion is by default to Captain missing 1st and 2nd Lieutenant (pronounced lefttennent not looattendant as we Americans do - that pisses the Brit officers off!) After Captain, it is Major - after 22 years any soldier worth his salt should have at least reached Major.

    Having spent 9Yrs from 3/12/63 until 1972,in the Royal Marines.
    Promotion in our forces does not go by time served.
    As we have the best Armed sevices in the world.
    It takes time.
    Thats why are Officers,Snco's,jnco,s are the best in the world.
    Yes!we lack equipment,the money your country pumps into your forces.
    You will never be man for man better than Our Royal Marines,Paras and our county Regiments.
