The Granton Trawler
another cinematic gem from the marvellous GPO Film Unit. This 1934 film The Granton Trawler filmed by John Grierson whilst the trawler was at sea portrays a hard dangerous environment in which to work.
please bear in mind the film was made nearly 80 years ago so the quality of the sound reproduction is not ideal in places.

In those days there was no danger of over-fishing. Now they have very sophisticated sonar, fast ships and huge nets. Soon there'll be little or no fish left. Great post Cleaner!
