Switzerland Decides to Remove “Made In Israel” Labels from Products in its Markets

The major shopping market networks in Switzerland, known as "would

hold, however" decided on Tuesday, my 29th, to remove "Made in Israel"

labels, which indicates settlement products, from its markets.

The network took this decision to provide products to its customers

with the utmost transparency, and to show that the network doesn't

support products that are boycotted and internationally condemned.

The network spokeswomen, Monica, said that "this decision doesn't

mean that we removed the products that were manufactured in settlements,

yet it's the removal of "Made in Israel" label as several European

states have previously done."

She also said that costumers in Switzerland are supporting

Palestinians, so that's the reason the network decided to label the

products as products manufactured abroad, not as Israeli goods.

  • How bout they tell muslims who make less than 5% of Switzerland to go shove it, i refuse to by ANYTHING that has halal on it and i suggest you all do the same, lets deal with these parasites. The same parasites who migrate to western countries and are so grateful they spend the next 30 years complaining being totally intolerant whilst trying to recreate the hell they fled from in the name of pedoprophet

  • This isn't about boycotting fruits and vegetables "Made in Israel", but about labelling them more correctly as "Produced in West Bank, Israeli settlement area" or "Made in East Jerusalem, Israeli settlement area" if that was the case. People will then decide what to boycott, if they want.

    • @Valerie2007 as long as they are putting more specific labeling on and not just removing the label so people can't boycott then I think it's a good idea.

    • @ElegantDecline

I actually supports such moves- I know this is what will "talk" to our rightists here in Israel, or those who don't have any specific agenda.

Once Israel will be isolated in the economic level, most of the 'silence majority' will no longer be silence regarding the settlments, since the implications will be on their own lifes.

  • Don't trade with israel.......cutting out labels is meaningless if the Swiss still do business with israel. Cut out the source of money and israel will sit up and take notice immediately. A boycott of flowers from israel caused a quarter billion dollar loss and bankruptcy of state sponsored israeli company Agrexco. That's how you deal with these parasites.

  • "The network took this decision to provide products to its customers with the utmost transparency"

But it's the opposite of transparency. I suppose some people will actually believe that statement though.

  • All I know is I had a problem with my engine overheating so I went to get a new thermostat from the parts store. I pull the old one out, it says Made in China. I pull the new one out of the box, it says Made in Isreal. I install it and now my engine is at the proper temperature. I am ok with this.
