  • I had to mute it...the sound of this video cuming from my room did not sound very well with people next door...

  • This video is 100% staged. I am a private pilot so I know what I am talking about:

    - The things he says before take-off sounds like he is intentionally talking to an audience, as if he is already planning to show people something interesting before anything really happens.
    - He's surprised when the aircraft takes off the ground? What pilot would be surprised "OOH! Annnnd we're up!". To me this is called overacting.
    - His vertical speed indicator is clearly showing he is climbing while More..

Im not a pilot, but let's say im in the subject, and i had exactly the same conclusions. Thanks for solving my doubts

    • @C4N4D14N And was conveniently filming it as well.

    • @C4N4D14N I don't buy it. That field would have done some serious damage to the gear at the least. Unless he had some modified gear for off-airport landings, there's just no way anyone would do that intentionally

    • @Turk10mm I just watched it again for like the third time. The VSI was not climbing the whole time, it actually looked to me like he was maintaining altitude and pulled back on the stick each time the nose dips.

IMHO he was having a fuel delivery problem. After 30 seconds of trying to see if she'd come around he made the right choice and found a safe spot to put it in.

    • @C4N4D14N
It looked pretty authentic to me.
And he pulled back to idle to land, what else did you expect? Fly trill the engine fully dies and then crash onto the trees?

  • He needs more training. Here's why:

    1) Before takeoff check should be done before you enter the runway.
    2) Takeoffs with flaps 10 are recommended for rough / soft fields. There was no need for flaps 10. He would have climbed higher after takeoff.
    3) After takeoff, it's clear that he forgot about flaps due to panic.
    4) Emergency procedure was not executed. He did not secure his engine nor set proper flaps for landing.

    At least he made it.

    • @wormhole yeh we can see his fingers around flaps lever.. Here we don't do that final double, it's done prior entering active. However during runway roll we check for engine power and airspeed to confirm power set for climb and airspeed is alive (pitot not blocked, etc..).

    • @StackOverflow
10 degree flaps on take off don't make you climb higher. It's used to decrease the ground roll for short fields or soft fields. You just get airborne in a shorter amount of time.
And when you have a situation where you are forced to land you don't use more than 10 or 20 degree flaps only before you touch down. You need your best glide speed to get further and you can't achieve that with flaps down. Flaps = Drag.

  • What is a partial engine failure? Why didn't he attempt to correct the problem? No check lists. No emergency procedure. No attempt to abort the takeoff. This guy doesn't belong anywhere near this airplane. Somehow feels a bit too staged to me.

    • @iNOTHINGyou Too late to abort. He was airborne. However, like you stated, he did not execute emergency procedure. At least to cutoff mixture, mags off and flaps 40. And why takeoff with flaps 10?...

    • @StackOverflow
PARTIAL failure - if anything kill master after flaps down. Lots of aircraft want some flaps for takeoff.

    • @StackOverflow -I'm guessing he was going for a short field takeoff with his flaps at 10 degrees. Why, I don't know. He does reach up a couple of times to adjust mixture or throttle (can't really tell), but nothing that would indicate an attempt at rectifying the problem or preparing to ditch. Just a weird situation with even stranger reactions.

    • @Ally_Gator 182 normal takeoff is flaps up.

    • @Ally_Gator

Agreed, modern craft like a bit of flaps during alot of manouvers.

That breathing makes me call fake or stoopid.

  • Sooner or later someone's going to be filming this shit with one of those super 5000fps cameras that's broadcasting the footage live to the ground, and they're going to take a nosedive and we'll see the very millisecond when the cockpit slams into the ground and smashes into the pilots face and the flames engulf everything and it will be the most awesome video Liveleak has ever seen.

  • A propeller's main purpose is to keep the pilot cool. If you ever see a plane flying whos propeller stops, you will actually see the pilot sweating.

  • Sounded like he was pedaling the propeller.

    Posted Oct-26-2012 By

  • Sounded to me like he was jerking off in the cockpit and lost control

  • So his plane has engine problems and he starts wanking?

    Posted Oct-27-2012 By

    • @SaxonBruiser lol exactly my thoughts! i wonder what he was saying/doing during the muted part at the end?

I recon he was prayin and cryin!:P

    • @JIMBO5444 Yeah, idiots huh? I mean the guy was only going to die if he fucked up, no big deal. Have a good fucking laugh.

    • @burningchrome Another prime example where "you dont get it" we are not laughing or taking the piss its like when you visit Thailand. If you tripped in public people would laugh. They are not being pricks its them sharing your discomfort by laughing. If I narrate in US terms "The guy did a great job bringing the machine down and didnt panic bt trying to turn back to the field which would have dropped him into a world of shit"

    • @burningchrome Oh fuck off you boring nob. He didn't die, he landed safely due to his expert wanking abilities.

  • Did I just hear him have an orgasm? Breath is heavy, some moaning, just like last night when I had a date with my hand, also with the words "have to put this down". Just like a normal night.
