The Free Army captures an armoured personnel carrier belonging to loyalist Republican Guards who then respond firing missiles at the carrier destroying it, while all of the soldiers of the Free Army escape unharmed. Ali Abdullah Saleh has cut off the electricity to the city, but the residents have no need for television news anyway, they can watch it out of their windows. The family watch in awe the bravery of the Free Yemen Army, talking excitedly about the missile strikes and the movements of the soldiers!
The battle occured in Hail Street in the capital Sanaa as loyalist Republican Guards attempted an incursion into Change Square, where the anti-government protesters are camped, repelled by Free Yemen Army defending the people. Hail Street is in the main shop and commercial district in Yemen, as Ali Abdullah Saleh refuses to leave power the country has collapsed in all aspects and battles today are more intense, with the Free Yemen Army threatening to abadon their defensive stance and take the offensive in response to the president's continued insanity.
