US soldier got hit four times during firefight
Part of channel(s): Afghanistan (current event)As being a retired soldier, I can't understand why he decided to move down into the open area without any shields? His previous location seemed a way far better than the spot where he was hit.
His explanation was that he had come out into the open to draw fire so his squad could have gotten to safety.
Considering the feasibility of the situation, I suspect this clip might be a fake.

When I play X-com my soldiers don't expose themselves in the open during a fire fight. If they are shot at, they drop smoke to give themselves cover.

Fake. Nobody in their right mind staggers about, exposed on a hill side under fire. The guy obviously lacked and knowledge of tactics, did not fire any aimed rounds, nothing. @Rexdeus WATCH CAREFULLY where he is returning fire .this a firefight from either side of the valley,maybe a distance of about 2k plus,and therfore the round is significantly slower at that range.also i think youve been watching to many hollywood war films because bullets dont explode on impact and the trooper is proper wired and full of adrenalin so hes hardly going to get some tissues out and have a good cry

@anthony turner Where do I say "Explode" ? I have been in a bunker receiving shots from 7.62 Nato rounds. The impacts were very loud and the dirt thrown up that hit the softer ground was thrown up quite a bit. Maybe if the shooters are 2 K away, the chances of getting hit 4 times is very improbable.
