  • i dont agree with alot of the things that the government does, but i remember 9/11, cut the military and defense spending? well i guess if you want America to become the target rich land.
why not cut out all the pork out of legislation? figure out how much that costs us each year, then what about failed programs that we spend billions on each year? how about life long paycheck for the assholes in congress that got us here? why dont we just start verifying welfare, social securitiy, ebt payments More..

    • @drop-top-pop So rather than spend money on our people to actually make this country great, we'd rather say fuck them and spend money fighting wars.

      Military first!

What other countries have this slogan I wonder.

    • @Saros freedom is what makes this country great! and agin i will say i dont agree with "alot" of what out gov. does,
you think illegals should collect from your taxed earnings?
you think congressmen should recieve money till they die? (hell they got us here)
you think pork attached to a manditory bill is a good thing?
I just want a little more commonsense in washington.

    • @drop-top-pop and what were the reasons given by OBL for 911? It's a vicious circle.

    • @drop-top-pop Of course I disagree with all you said. The US is now considered TENTH in freedom.

      Higher than I expected frankly.

But that's not the point. My point is, North Korea starves its people while vehemently protecting its national security. For WHAT exactly? The people don't benefit. WHAT are they being protected from? Their own government is more of a threat to them than the rest of the world.

We are trending in the same direction.

  • Iraq was never about 9/11, so the 2 wars and 1.1 trillion dollars is bullshit. Secondly, it's about justice. You think we should just give up looking for someone responsible for the deaths of 3,000 civilians? I don't care if it's 30 years later, a crime of that magnitude doesn't have a statute of limitations. And the Taliban offered to hand over Bin Laden after 9/11? Bullshit.

    • @Lazerhead you also believe that the CIA fights drugs dont you

      Posted Jul-14-2012 By

    • @Lazerhead We could have sent in that crack team 9 years ago. Instead we went in with a bat swinging at a garden of hornets' nests with ever more reason to continue permanently squeezing the civil rights of Americans.

    • @Lazerhead Iraq was about deposing the dicator that the US installed years before.

    • @priapism
No it wasn't. It was about WMD's that weren't there. Hussein had been in power since the early 80's and the US had little if any involvement in getting him there.

    • @Lazerhead Saddam was working for the CIA YEARS before so they could assassinate the prime minister of Iraq.

  • US need for hegemony due to paranoia regarding communism/unstable countries that don't meet their needs/interest/oil--> interfere in other countries' politics using fake agenda to push own control --> install a dictator and make them an ally --> dictator gets pissed with US --> US tries to install democracy as a feel good reason for invasion when dictator fails them --> country becomes unstable/pissed with US. Now go back to step 1.

    • @Jabeesha Saddam was truly a total arsehole and murderer, but he had control over tribes/religious nuts etc. Iraq needed to evolve from within, without the threat of having McDonalds installed on every corner.

    • @Jabeesha I don't miss him. The bastard is dead. There will be others to kill their own people. Wish I could take a shit on his grave.

  • Fair call.
Curious to know if the Taliban actually did offer him up.

    Posted Jul-14-2012 By

    • @DreadNought They did not, they rebuffed multiple offers saying it was against the rules of Islam and pashtunwali to hand over a muslim nation to a non muslim one.

    • @The Grim Thanks for that, I thought I would have heard about it if they had. I'm sure certain elements of the media would have had a field day with that one if it was true.

    • @DreadNought When it was happening the media played it a lot, this is all after 9/11.....the taliban never offered him to America before that but Sudan did.
