Quite often there are items here showing police/security forces in Israel who are brutal in that way or another to Arabs/Palestinians and Palestinian supporters.

The claim is that in Israel there is a differrent policy by the police when it comes to Arabs, and when it comes to Jews, a policy which is based on racism against Arabs, and the slogan "The Nazi Israel police/army" is used almost every time there is such kind of video of police brutality twoards Arabs.


Is this true, are there really formal different policies in the way the police in Israel handle Arabs and Jews? Does the police in Israel use "Nazi" methods when they encounter Arab rioters and protesters.....?


Apparently not... The only known time when the police in Israel crossed the red line against Arabs was in October 2000, in the first days of the 2000's Intifada, when thousands of Arabs in northern Israel joined the Palestinians and started heavy riots,blocked main roads and used violence against passing cars and police forces- The police was cought not ready and in several locations small police forces found themselves serrounded by hundreds of Arabs who tried to approach them.


The policmen got stressed and opened fire, killing 13 Arab civilians. This event shocked the media and public and was under national investigation in Israel for several years - The conclusion was that the police failed to be prepered for such a scenario of rioting Israeli Arabs.


Except of that, in most cases during recent years, there is not any special "treatment" Arab protesters get, which Jews don't... During illegal protests or riots, doesn't matter if they are conduct by Jews or Arabs, the local police can use excessive force against the protesters if things are heating up.


Social activists in Tel Aviv this summer,Ultra-Orthodox in Jerusalem or even Settlers in the West Bank, all encoutered excessive use of force by police forces during harsh protests- Talk with social activists in TA,Ultra-Orthodox or settlers and they will tell you how much they can't stand the police... .


It is definitely not something which is uniqe to Arabs or Palestinian supporters who arrive the WB.




As for the claim that "only in Israel" the local forces use brutality against protesters... Well, that is definitely NOT what I see in endless videos and items here in LL regarding cops all over the world.

The next photos (5-9) shows police brutality in different places all over the world, including in Europe. Seems that in part of the cases it is much way violent than the Israel police one...







And just to make it clear (since I can see from several comments that some people failed to realize the point of this)- My point was that police brutality exsist in Israel just like every where else, Doesn't mean that all cops are behaving like that, but this phenomena certainly exsist, and it's general, not just against Arabs.
