Politician arrested for vandalism during TV debat
In Latvia, a candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections was arrested during a TV debate. Dainis Grabovskis of the small party 'Tautas Kontrole' was not invited to the debate, but sat among the spectators and commented loudly. During the advertising break officials asked him to leave. Mr. Dainis Grabovskis did not intend to go and ran on stage instead which resulted in a chase and struggle with the police-officers. The audience applauded when mr. Grabovskis was arrested and removed. Mr. Grabovskis is charged with vandalism: he can be fined 250 lats (350 euro/$500) and a maximum of 15 days imprisonment.

Vandalism charge bullshit. He was tackled into the podium. The local equivalents of breach of the peace, tresspass and resisting arrest would be more appropriate.

@alanhad I thought he was doing well even when he went on stage but once he got there the childish grinning fist pump was a let down. If he'd shown more composure it would have been an effective protest.
