Trick you can all use at your next Party!
This is a cool video, I just don't know what sort of chemicals were used to make it happen.
Thanks.

Its ok if you don't tell us how to do it. I probably wouldn't do it anyway.
I'll just stick with the same trick I always do at parties. That is, get shit faced and embarrass myself and loved ones.

Easy to do, just mix bleach and ammonia together.

Its some kind of trick using a basic (alkaline) compound with an indicator... When the 2 liquids sit for long enough, the different densities will make them separate and the indicator will show its basic (turning blue). When their mixed well the p.h. of the solution will either be neutral or acidic making the indicator's color go away. My guess is the indicator is Bromothymol blue. But it could also be Thymolphthalein, which turns blue at a high ph (high basic (alkaline)) level. (if its Thymolph More..

Ah - I remember now. It's derived from a test for starch.
For more fun, just use the tincture of iodine and some clear ammonia. Then filter the residue on filter paper and leave till it dries :-)

Cool. There are some really remarkable chemical color-change videos if you look for them. There are some that do numerous changes one after another, sometimes even contrived for timing; cyclic changes that repeat; and so on.
