Not everything he created was hilarious, but man, the guy could turn out jokes like a one man giggle machine week after week after week, pint after pint after pint....
:)
He had the gift of the gab and wasn't afraid to poke fun at the people who held so much power over Irish lives.
Making fun of the Church was a big "no no" publicly, and though the Irish have been mocking themselves and the English for years, Dave made a sport of it.
